NAAC Accreditation

The NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country.

The vision of the NAAC is: To make quality the defining element of higher education in India through a combination of self and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance initiatives.Guided by its vision and striving to achieve its mission, the NAAC primarily assesses the quality of institutions of higher education that volunteer for the process, through an internationally accepted methodology.

On the recommendations of the Peer Team, that visited D.A-V. College in March 2007, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college with B + + Grade . Peer Team Comment :

The peer team feels that the college, with its glorious heritage, has the potential to grow to a greater height by addressing the challenges and seizing the opportunities thrown open by the present global order. The college can rightfully make an effort for its autonomous/deemed university status.

The peer team places on record the support extended by the president, secretary and other members of the board of management, the principal, the coordinator, the teachers, the non-teaching staff and students in making the assessment process a success. The peer team wishes the college a bright future and continued success in all its educational endeavours and to become a centre of excellence in providing quality higher education in this part of the country.
